Play & Practice

How Might the Character Feel?

A small scene can open a surprisingly thoughtful conversation. Meet fictional characters with room for more than one interpretation, and explore words, gestures and choices together. This activity invites listening, feeling vocabulary and another person's viewpoint without asking children to reveal personal experiences. Four gentle variations make space for pointing, storytelling or simply watching a turn.

The thinking behind this activity

This design creates opportunities for listening, choice and discussion during shared play. Feelings are not inferred reliably from one expression, and the activity does not diagnose or treat emotional difficulties. Children may decline personal sharing. Suggested ages and four play options are design proposals awaiting professional and family review; they are not validated developmental stages.
